DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - ROAR Motorcycles has tripled space for its headquarters and flagship store with a move to a bigger showroom in Daytona Beach's historic downtown district.
ROAR, which specializes in motorcycles for women, moved from a 5,000-sf storefront to a 15,000-sf space and a higher profile.
An official grand opening for the new store will be held some time in September.
Founder and CEO Kathleen Steele-Tolleson told the Daytona Beach News-Journal she kept her business going through the recession "by streamlining overhead, being optimistic, and sacrificing to keep going," but lately sales have picked up.
A licensee recently opened a ROAR on Vancouver Island, and Steele-Tolleson said ROAR also now supplies motorcycles to an independent motorcycle dealer called Gord Sports Centre Racing in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada.
