FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Bruce Rossmeyer's Harley-Davidson in Fort Lauderdale will close by the end of the month, consolidating business from that store with the one in Sunrise.
The move will mean a loss of 22 jobs, a dealership executive told the Sun-Sentinel, though some employees will be transferred to the Sunrise store.
The recession has taken its toll on the Rossmeyer group. The dealer shuttered its Pompano Beach store in 2010 and later sold that property.
The Ft. Lauderdale store opened in 2000. Cheek said it will close by the end of the year, and the real estate may be sold.
