Have customers searching for a post-war motorcycle with modern amenities? Take a look at the revamped Royal Enfield Bullet 500 Classic.

In 1932, the Royal Enfield “Bullet” was originally created in Britain. Now, 76 years later, Royal Enfield's newest model celebrates the look of that early bike.

Built by Royal Enfield in India, the new Bullet 500 Classic, homologated for Euro III norms, harks back to the 'G2' Bullet of the early 1950s, retaining the quintessential classic British style that is inextricably linked to the Royal Enfield name.

Royal Enfield motorcycles are distributed in the United States by Classic Motorworks of Faribault, Minn. The four models of Royal Enfield currently sold by Classic Motorworks start between $5,349 and $5,745.

Classic Motorworks says it hopes to have the new Bullet 500 Classic in the U.S. by late spring. The unit is currently undergoing EPA testing. “We don't anticipate any problems because the bike runs so clean,” says Kevin Mahoney, president, Classic Motorworks.

Mahoney says pricing is not yet set, but that the bike will likely cost more than Royal Enfield’s current models given the increased cost of production. “It will be less than any other similar new vintage-type bike and more than our current models but it may depend upon where the dollar settles out in relation to the Rupee,” he tells Dealernews.

Classic Motorworks recently named Napalm Motorsports, LLC of Austin, Texas, as the brand’s top dealer in the U.S. Napalm has been selling the Royal Enfield brand for only 11 months.
