No brand can continue to grow without the addition of new models, and Greene says that Royal Enfield will introduce a factory built café racer for 2013. The bike will be built around the existing 500cc single, but will look authentic. He would neither confirm nor deny the rumor of an all-new vertical twin of 750 or 800cc displacement, based on the old Interceptor that supposedly is in the works for the future.
Existing dealers report that the bike is definitely a showroom winner. It typically doesn’t compete with their other lines, is priced at the low-end of the spectrum, and draws a crowd wherever it goes. If you’re looking to supplement your existing product line, the brand may be worth checking out.
