STURGIS, S.D. - Samson Motorcycle Products is planning to hire 30 workers in South Dakota next year when it opens its new manufacturing plant in the V-Twin mecca of Sturgis.
The company alreadya began construction on a 45,000 sq. ft. building on a three-acre site in the Sturgis Industrial Park. City officials told KLDT the project is expected to be finished in April.
Kenny Price, founder and CEO of the exhaust manufacturing company, told Dealernews that Samson is having a "late groundbreaking party" Oct. 16 at the Easyriders Saloon in Sturgis. Moving the manufacturing operation to Sturgis had been a longtime dream, Price said.
Samson will be at the 2013 Dealer Expo, Feb. 15-17 in Indianapolis.
