Authorities in San Diego County, Calif., are investigating a shooting involving a dealer who opened fire on a suspected burglar at his shop.
An alarm system alerted the owner of Trophy Motorcycles to a break-in early this morning. When he arrived a little after 3 a.m., he saw a man leaving the shop with a shotgun that belongs to the business, KFMB reported.
The owner fired several rounds, striking the burglar several times in the lower body, San Diego police officer David Stafford says. The alleged burglar was taken to a hospital to be treated for wounds that were not believed to be life-threatening.
