The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has dropped its
investigation of Harley-Davidson, Inc., and its April 2005 announcement about production and shipment plans that prompted shareholders to file a class action lawsuit against the company.
Harley-Davidson said it received a letter dated June 1, 2007, stating
that the SEC enforcement staff's investigation has been terminated, and at this time, the staff has not recommended any enforcement action against the company.
Harley-Davidson, Inc. announced July 11, 2005, that the SEC was investigating the announcement and related activities.
