Recreational vehicle price comparison site seedealercost.com has gone live following a couple of delays from its planned launch date.
The site shows manufacturer specifications, invoice cost and MSRP for boats, powersports vehicles and RVs. Registered users can save information for later reference and comparison; guests can request to get their information via email in printable PDF form.
Dealers across the powersports spectrum have been skeptical about the site’s potential impact on sales. Marine dealers were up in arms when the site was first announced, though powersports retailers have had mixed reactions.
The design of the site is intentionally spare, with a white background and links to specs, pricing and other information. VP Dave Taylor says the developers worked to keep things “easy-to-use and intuitive.” The site’s motto, displayed on the top-right of each page, reads “No frills – just the info. Now you have the tools to negotiate your best deal.”
