Shenandoah Harley-Davidson is teaming up with the Augusta Regional SPCA for the first ‘Hawgs & Dogs’ animal adoption event April 14 at the dealership.
New owners took over the Staunton, Va., dealership in October, so the event is about a new start for people and animals, says promotions and event manager Kimberly Dritto, a former kennel assistant at the Augusta Regional SPCA. The organizations began planning ‘Hawgs & Dogs’ as early as January and want to make it a yearly occurrence, she told the News Virginian.
The event will include adoptable dogs from two shelters, education, vendors including pet supply and animal hospitals, agility demonstrations courtesy of Love on a Leash, the pet handlers of the Classic K-9’s 4-H Dog Club, and a dog sled pull competition.
