IRVINE, Calif. - The Geico AMA EnduroCross Series has named Shorai the official battery of the 2013 EnduroCross season.

According to Endurocross, Shorai batteries are “the unrivaled choice for dirtbikes equipped with an electric starter. Shorai batteries are 70 percent to 80 percent lighter than lead-acid batteries commonly used in dirtbikes and provide faster cranking for quick starts and restarts, which are common in EnduroCross.”

Lance Bryson is director of sales and marketing for Endurocross. “A lot of the EnduroCross racers are using electric-start bikes, and the Shorai batteries are a perfect fit,” he said. “Saving weight while boosting the cranking power for restarts are a huge benefit since even the best riders tip over in EnduroCross.”

Kevin Riley is executive vice president of sales and marketing for Shorai. “EnduroCross is such an exciting sport and a perfect place to showcase the benefits of Shorai batteries,” he said. “We are looking forward to working with the EnduroCross team to help spread the awareness of Shorai”.

EnduroCross tracks incorporate into a Supercross-style indoor setting various elements of extreme off-road racing, including rocks, boulders, logs, sand, mud, a water-hole and a few special obstacles like giant tires.
