Skokie’s Planning Commission has approved a use permit for Roll-On Cycle Shop to open a new motorcycle and scooter store in this northwest suburb of Chicago.

The Roll-On Cycle Shop would move into a space offering more than 6,173 square feet.

The store will provide 10 parking spaces for motorcycles and two for automobiles, pending approval. The shop will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week, according to the Sun Times.

The business plans to employ two sales people and a mechanic who would repair the vehicles in six motorcycle and scooter service bays at the rear of the building. The service area also has space for stored motorcycles.

The remaining space inside the building would accommodate sales offices, other storage, a shipping and receiving room and a conference room.
