Snap-on tool powers through rusted shock and strut bolts

KENOSHA, Wis. – Snap-on reportedly makes suspension work easier with the Blue-Point XL Air Hammer Drift set — and this is especially true if shock and strut bolts have seized due to rust.

“Rusted shock and strut bolts are no match for our new Blue-Point Air Hammer Drifts [Part No. PHGL37KT],” said Brian Woller, category manager for Snap-on. “These air hammer drifts are easy to use and make removing tough-to-access bolts much less challenging, giving service technicians the opportunity to spend more time on other jobs. Blue-Point Air Hammer Drifts will help increase performance and productivity.”

Techs can use the air hammer drifts in place of conventional length punches and tapered drifts. And when using in hard-to-reach areas, rest assured that the tools have a five-inch-long parallel shaft design that won’t get stuck in deep holes, the company says.

Each set comes with tools in the three most commonly used sizes: 8 mm to 5/16-inch, 10 mm to 3/8-inch and 12 mm to 1/2-inch. The set comes with a canvas pouch for storing.  www.snapon.com/handtools.
