Spanish inventor creates scooter armor

Spanish inventor Marc Groells Bolive has a new idea in protecting scooters from theft: his prototype Protect 486 scooter armor.

The layered protective shell makes a scooter look like an orange armadillo or nautilus shell when it’s unfurled. Closed, it looks like part of a spur around the back of the scooter.

His web site has photos of the device, which would also protect a scooter from weather. But no word on how much weight it adds to the scooter or how that affects mileage.
