SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - A 1970 Husqvarna 400 Cross owned and ridden by legendary motorcyclist and actor, Steve McQueen, is headlining Bonham’s third annual Las Vegas Motorcycle Auction in January.
McQueen is arguably one of the most famous of all Hollywood actors who also happen to be motorcyclists. Long associated with Triumph bikes, McQueen soon discovered the Swedish-made Huskys. The bikes became his favorite ride.
Bonhams is offering for sale the Husky owned by McQueen along with a large number of documents supporting its authenticity.
The McQueen Husqvarna joins an impressive line-up of machines already consigned for the sale, including the original condition 1902 Rambler from the Indian Motorcycle Museum and a quartet of BMW racing motorcycles that features the very rare and desirable Kompressor.
