New owners will take over Sunwest Xpress in Bullhead City, Ariz., next week. The store sells motorcycles, ATVs, personal watercraft and sport boats under Kawasaki, BRP, Sea-Doo and Polaris franchises, along with Zieman trailers..
Joe Morabito sold the dealership, which had been business at its present location for 11 years and in the same Original Bullhead neighborhood since 1997. He plans to retire from the powersports business.
“This is the only thing I’ve done in my adult life is the motorcycle business, you know, the toy business,” Morabito told the Mohave Daily News. “It just was time. I’ve been doing this for a long time … We’ve been very successful for the 14 years that we’ve been here, and I expect the guy who takes over will be the same.”
Although retiring from the dealership, Morabito said he will be selling classic cars, raising Arabian horses and continuing to serve on Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission, and the boards of the Bullhead Area Chamber of Commerce and the Bullhead Regional Economic Development Authority.
