Superchips parent hires new CEO

EL PASO, Texas - MSDP Group, parent of the MSD, Edge, Superchips and Racepak brands, has a new CEO as of July 1.

The board of directors appointed Richard T. Ruebusch to succeed Ron Turcotte, who was serving as interim CEO.

Prior to joining MSDP, Ruebusch was president and CEO of Columbus Castings, the largest steel foundry in North America. During his time there he is credited with Ruebusch significantly improving operating margins and implementing various growth initiatives, including the development of key new products such as the Z-Knuckle.

Before Columbus Castings, Ruebusch was president and CEO of Montana Silversmiths, a portfolio company of American Capital, where he grew top line organic sales by 20 percent at the business serving the western and equine business sector. From 2007 to 2010, Ruebusch was president of Dehydration and Filtration, a global unit of SPX Corp., where he drove year-over-year sales up by 12 percent and executed on the unit's M&A initiatives.
