Sweepstakes entry cards still needed in nearly 100 cities, says MIC

Consumers across the United States are contacting the Motorcycle Industry Council directly for Revive Your Ride sweepstakes entry cards because they cannot find them at their local dealerships.

The Revive Your Ride $25,000 sweepstakes is a contest organized by the Motorcycle Industry Council to promote parts, gear and accessory purchases for the 2010 riding season. (Read the full story here.)

The contest, sponsored by the aftermarket company members of the MIC, is designed to generate aftermarket sales at the local dealership level; however, the association reports that it is getting calls from consumers who want to enter, but find out that their local dealers aren't yet participating in the program. Consumers from nearly 100 different cities in 41 states have petitioned the MIC for direct assistance.

The organization says it has so far fielded requests for entry cards from consumers in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

The sweepstakes ends June 30.

Dealers can sign up for the Revive Your Ride promotion at www.mic.org/reviveyourride or by calling 949.727.4211 est. 3004.  "All dealers have to do is buy the entry cards (for $25) and  hand them out to their customers," says Cam Arnold of the MIC.

T-Bags recently announced it would pay the $25 fee for any dealer making a minimum product purchase (read that story here).
