Teen arrested after riding motorcycle out of showroom

PEORIA HEIGHTS, Ill. - A Peoria teen is facing charges for allegedly starting a motorcycle on a dealership showroom floor Monday morning and driving a Honda out the front door.

The 17-year-old admitted breaking into the back door of Grayboy about 10 a.m., starting a Honda CRF70C and driving it out the front door, according to a report on the incident cited in the Peoria JournalStar.

Police found the youth hours later at his home, where he told police he had been in the dealership a week earlier and was made to leave after starting the same bike.

He was booked on charges of burglary, criminal trespass to property, theft over $500 and criminal damage to property over $300.
