SARASOTA, Fla. - The 15th annual Thunder By The Bay motorcycle festival rolls into town this weekend, and will again raise money for Suncoast Charities for Children, which serves children who have special needs.
The Marshall Tucker Band will headline this year's festival when they take the stage at 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
Events leading up to that include Friday’s Born To Be Wild party at 7 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Sarasota, featuring a silent, Harley-Davidson fashion show, casino style gaming, and live entertainment. Tickets are $15 at the door.
The downtown festival Saturday and Sunday features a dozen bands on two stages, vendors, food and two bike shows. Events run 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
A “Cruise for Cash” scenic ride Sunday offers $4,000 in cash prizes.
