World of Powersports’ fourth year of entering Top 100 is a big one: It won two special awards (page 16 and 18) and Third Runner-Up in the overall contest. A few reasons behind the success: Internet kiosks are at each end of the PG&A display area so customers can search the store’s online catalogs. To quickly accommodate routine service customers, 20 percent of the store’s lifts are reserved for “customer-waiting repairs.” During poker runs and area rides, the store often offers test rides on vehicles such as the Can-Am Spyder. Finally, World of Powersports is very nice to its employees, offering profit-based bonuses for nearly all staff members, 50 percent tuition assistance on continued education, two weeks’ paid vacation, paid health care and a 401(k).
