CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio – Rubber City Harley-Davidson is open for business and rolling along at the remodeled site of a former Circuit City.
Dealer principals Mike and Franscene Davis bought the franchise of the former Liberty Harley-Davidson dealership in Akron and kept roughly half of the staff for the new dealership.
Along with the new showroom and customer lounge with a big screen TV, the new store sports a "Delivery Room" in front, where new owners get their dream machines.
"We get them a picture, and then we announce it over our speakers, we honk all the horns on the Harleys – it gets really loud," events manager Sarah Lance told Cuyahoga Falls Patch. "It really does become their babies."
The new dealership entertained about 5,500 riders during its grand opening last month, she said.
The Davises also own Adventure Harley-Davidson in Dover and Mad River Harley-Davidson in Sandusky. "We're like a little powerhouse in Northeast Ohio," Lance said.
