Cortech, Scorpion, Dowco, ITP, others make 2007 list

What's selling this year? What are the top products bought by sportbike, dirtbike, cruiser and ATV customers? We asked the 2007 Dealernews Top 100 dealers to tell us.

By far the most mentioned brand was Industrial Tire Products. Several dealers listed the company's wheels, MudLite tire and wheel/tire kits as prime product movers at their shops.

Top 100 dealers also listed a healthy variety of apparel, luggage, tires, helmets, exhaust systems, backrests, grips, handlebars, plows and undertail kits. On the following pages — and in no particular order — we take a look at some of their favorite products.

Another echos this idea: "Quad riders love to beef up their machines with the wheel-and-tire kits — 12- and 14-inch kits with bigger tires — they are easy to sell when you dress out sales units." One dealer liked the wheel kits because they allow "the customer to save time and money by just bolting on a set of wheels." This also "frees up techs to do additional upselling."
