Topeka H-D hosts MDA ride

TOPEKA, Kan. - Topeka Harley-Davidson will host the 31st annual motorcycle ride to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association starting at 5 p.m. Saturday.

All makes and models are invited to join the huge escorted “parade of bikes” that will travel down Topeka Blvd. and through downtown Topeka at 5:30 p.m., according to news station WIBW.

The motorcycle parade will end at the free concert and street party Summer Jam 2011 at 8th and Kansas Avenue. Fundraising for MDA will take place throughout the evening with an auction at 6 p.m. as well as other opportunities to donate.

Registration is open any time before the ride departs at Topeka Harley-Davidson. Entry includes the ride, ride pin & T-shirt. Event information can be obtained by calling Topeka Harley Davidson (785) 234-6174 or the local MDA at (913) 451-3230.

Topeka Harley-Davidson has supported the MDA for 31 years, raising more than $500,000 for MDA research and local patient service programs.
