SEATTLE, Wash. - After returning from a 10-day expedition across Colorado, Touratech-USA’s general manager Paul Guillien has compiled a list of 10 Touratech accessories for Yamaha’s Super Ténéré XT1200Z.

As Guillien puts it, these are parts that should be essentials for anyone interested in riding their Super Ténéré off-road or on an extended adventure touring trip. This could also serve as a shopping list for a customer wanting to outfit his or her new machine.

The products encompass Touratech’s offerings for the model to help with luggage solutions, protection and guards, lights, ergonomics and other accessories. The list includes the Zega Pro Pannier system.

First up on the list is the Garmin Montana GPS and Touratech locking mount. According to Guillien, this unit is one of the most rugged and capable GPS units on the market for dual-sport and adventure motorcycle riders. It features a large 4 in. touch-screen display, ruggedized case, and high sensitivity receiver. For the unit, Touratech offers its locking mount kit.

Touratech’s auxiliary Xenon HID lights from Touratech are said to offer improvements in visibility and safety for the Ténéré. During the day, the intense light pattern reportedly makes the motorcycle more visible to other motorists. The fog lights help with better close range visibility in foggy or rainy conditions, the company says. The HID light, which operates in combination with the high beam headlight are meant to provide better illumination down the road. The lights are available separately.

This engine guard was designed to evenly distribute any impact force over the entire engine block of the Yamaha. The angled front is designed to make it much easier to slide over rocks, roots or stumps. The base plate of the engine guard is made of 3 mm thick aluminum sheet, reinforced by 2 mm stainless steel sheet. (continued)
