Triumph Motorcycles today confirmed industry rumors that it is developing two all-new adventure motorcycles for later this year.
The company has built a microsite at www.triumphadventure.com where customers can register to receive monthly updates on the bikes.
The site’s home page has a link to a 77-second teaser video showing a transport van delivering at least one of the new bikes to Triumph’s test facility. It then shows a series of quick close-ups and out-of-focus long shots of the bikes on track and trail before ending with “To be continued … .”
After registering, people receive an e-mail saying that Triumph will reveal information about the engine Aug. 4, the chassis Sept. 1, and related clothing and accessories Oct. 6. This e-mail explains the three mysterious count-down clocks on the microsite.
As far as the full bikes go, the e-mail says that “it’ll be a good few months before they’re ready.”
