WASHINGTON, D.C. - Triumph is recalling certain 2012 and 2013 Speed Triple ABS models because their transmissions may inadvertently shift out of gear while the motorcycles are moving.

The transmission on some of these models may have been built with an incorrect detent spring, causing the problem.

The potential number of units affected is 349.

Triumph will notify owners, and dealers will install a revised detent spring, free of charge.

The recall (No. 13V212000) is expected to begin in June 2013. Owners may contact Triumph at 678-854-2010 for more information.
