Triumph Motorcycles America has issues a recall on certain 2011 and 2012 model year Tiger 800s and Tiger 800XCs. The potential number of vehicles affected is 668.
The company says that the vehicle’s optional accessory center stand assembly has a defective return spring that may break. This could lead to the center stand dropping or dragging unexpectedly, which may result in a crash.
Dealers are asked to replace the return spring and repair the stands free of charge. Triumph has not provided an owner notification schedule as of this posting. For more information, contact Triumph at 678-854-2010.
