Triumph recalls Trophy due to label with wrong tire data

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Triumph is recalling certain 2013 Trophy models after producing the units with a label bearing incorrect tire data.

The recall (No. 12V592000) potentially affects 283 units. None of the affected motorcycles have been sold to consumers, and they will be repaired prior to sale.

If the mistake hadn’t been detected, owners relying on the information contained in the label may have installed incorrect replacement tires, increasing the risk of personal injury.

Triumph announced the brand-new 1215cc Trophy in June, saying that dealers would receive their first shipments in January.
