The folks at Tucker Rocky acknowledged that current economic conditions were factoring into their decision-making, but said they didn't plan to put the brakes on new product. TR's latest products were on a "What's New at Indy" wall at the distributor's main display.
The company has added many new vendor-manufactured brands and products during the past year, including LeoVince exhausts, Royal Purple lubricants, custom sportbike equipment from Epic Power Sports and Gregg's Customs, Arlen Ness custom cruiser parts, GoPro and MotoCam 360 cameras, Cycle Sounds audio gear, Shad luggage, FroggToggs outerwear, Sportech windscreens and fueling accessories from McCuff, to name a few.
Tucker Rocky's 2009 ATV catalog features more than 6,000 new part numbers, with many of them for the SxS market. An expanded ATV/SxS display had a bevy of new products from Quad Boss and Ducks Unlimited brands; multiple offerings from Pro Armor, Bestop, Blingstar, Speed Industries, Seizmik and iShock; suspension equipment from KYB, Rancho and Elka; a new track system from TJD; show specials and a drawing for a race replica LTR450 Suzuki.
TR also had some new in-house street and off-road apparel brands that deserved a closer look. On the street side, there was the newly expanded River Road collection featuring the three-quarter-length Taos jacket and the Alloy and Tango vented, matte black jackets; the redesigned Firstgear Kilimanjaro jacket and new-for-2009 Firstgear Kathmandu jacket; and the large new line of edgy Speed & Strength street apparel.
In off-road gear, there was the new Rockstar pant, jersey and glove — also in youth sizes — two new MSR Rockstar helmets, Answer's new Comet X helmet and a new line of Answer Alpha gear.
