U.K.-based motorbike chain lube company Scottoiler is making its products available in the United States via online marketing.
Established in 1985, Scottoiler has predominantly sold its products, which help prevent the wear and tear of bike chains, through distributors in the U.K.
But with no distributor network in the U.S., the firm turned to Glasgow web design outfit Alienation to create a sales-focused website.
The new site features a bike selector feature for customers to choose the products suitable for their motorcycle, a dealer locator, and social network feeds.
"Our goal was to build a site that communicates the lifetime value and benefits of Scottoiler's products as well as their features, Alienation managing director Neil Barr told The Drum. "The community section embraces motorcycling enthusiasts, featuring blogs, social media and competitions for a dynamic user experience."
