US Highland, Inc. has signed two regional master dealers to sell its new line of motocross, supermoto, quad and enduro motorcycles in the Midwest, the company announced today.
The company's announced strategy is to build a network of 10 regional or master dealerships that sell, develop and support territorially defined dealerships within their region.
Two unique aspects of the vehicles: they are custom fit for each customer, and subjet to a two-week factory delivery time, so dealers don’t need a lot of inventory on the floor.
The Oklahoma-based company is still rebounding from the loss of its president and two other senior executives in a July plane crash, says COO Darin Long.
"We are very pleased to be regaining our stride since the July air crash tragedy. Highland Regional Dealers are key to our distribution and support model. Each one will serve on the Highland Dealer Board, helping us create a better customer distribution, service and support model,” he says. “We receive many new dealer inquiries daily that will now be delivered to our Regional Dealers for dealership development and expansion. New dealer interest is well balanced across the country and continues to exceed our expectations."
George Smith, VP of Sales & Marketing, says the company is developing sponsorship deals to promote the fledgling bike line.
"Our regional dealers will be able to provide an additional sales platform for our sponsorship products,” he says. “We are in discussion with oil companies, insurance companies, soft drink companies and clothing lines for prospective sponsorship. This is a wonderful opportunity for all parties involved."
