Vandervest Harley-Davidson in Peshtigo, Wisc., will host the seventh annual Jerry Parins Cruise for Cancer June 12, featuring a ride and tailgate party that are looking to set a new fundraising record.
Recently, the organizers presented $84,000 raised on last year’s ride to eight local cancer support organizations. Since its inception, the ride has raised more than $300,000.
Last year’s ride drew more than 700 participants, according to the Green Bay Press Gazette.
This year’s cruise will start at 11:30 a.m. June 12, at Vandervest, then ride to Lambeau Field for a free, public tailgate party.
Registration forms for this year’s ride are available at www.cruiseforcancer.org or at Vandervest Harley-Davidson in Peshtigo and Vandervest Custom Cycles in Green Bay. Participation is a $20 donation per driver and $15 donation per passenger.
The ride benefits cancer patients and families throughout Northeastern Wisconsin. Organizations that benefit are Fund for Children with Cancer, The Bellin Health Foundation, Community Memorial Hospital, Families of Children with Cancer Inc., The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, St. Vincent Hospital Regional Cancer Center Compassionate Care Fund, St. Vincent Hospital Regional Cancer Center Comfort Capes Program and Unity.
