VICTORVILLE, Calif. – On the heels of the Motor Co. reporting a 5.8 percent boost in first-quarter U.S. sales, Victorville Harley-Davidson owner Cary Fischer told the Victorville Daily Press his business is up much more than the company’s.
“Our numbers are better than that dramatically,” he said. “I’d say we’re probably up 20 percent over last year.”
He attributed the jump in sales to the Harley brand, quality, investment value and its “ability to provide the rider with a 50-mpg dream.”
General Manager Dave Finnerty agreed the dealership is doing well. “Things are great and we’re selling more bikes than we’ve ever sold before,” he said.
MotorClothes specialist Michelle Lanahan said visibility on busy Interstate 15 between Los Angeles and Las Vegas also helps bring in business. “We’re close to the freeway, so people stop to get the Victorville Harley-Davidson shirt,” she said.
