MEDINA, Minn. - Victory Motorcycles will introduced new custom baggers, salute the U.S. military and feature celebrities from Playboy Bunnies to everyone's favorite gunnery sergeant when it comes to the Progressive International Motorcycle Show this weekend in Long Beach, Calif.
"The Long Beach IMS is always a high-energy show with a lot of Victory riders turning out," said Josh Fulkerson, marketing manager for Victory.
The OEM announced it is bringing "the best selection of premium baggers, including the Cross Country, Cross Roads, Classic, Hard Ball and the Zach Ness Cross Country to the Long Beach show. In addition:
- Victory will unveil a factory custom-painted Cross Country that will be unveiled at 5:15 p.m. on Friday and available in the Victory demo ride fleet throughout the weekend.
- The OEM also will debut a one-off Buffalo Chip Custom Bagger styled by Cory Ness. The Buffalo Chip Custom Bagger will be unveiled at 5:30 p.m. Friday, followed by a Cory Ness autograph session. Ness also will sign autographs at the Victory display on Saturday at noon and 6 p.m.
Attendees will be able to "take as seat" at the Victory Bagger Bar in the OEM's display, and have the opportunity to discuss Victory baggers and accessories with OEM engineers, product developers and accessories specialists.
Given that the Long Beach IMS will open on Friday, Dec. 7 -- National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day -- Victory announced it will be offering a weekend-long salute to military personnel. The Victory Military Priority Program lets any IMS demo rider currently serving in the military to get a special wristband good for first choice of Victory demo bikes. In addition:
- Several U.S. Marines will be stationed at the Victory display to oversee collection of donations for Toys For Tots. At this weekend's show, any rider bringing an unwrapped toy for the Victory Toys For Tots drive will receive $5 off a ticket purchased at the gate.
- Also appearing at the Victory display will be R. Lee Ermey, Marine vet, actor and Victory rider (see photo, right). "Gunny" will sign autographs from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, and three hour-long times on Saturday: 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Two Playboy Playmates, featured in the 2013 Victory product brochure (see photo) -- Raquel Pomplun and Anna Sophia Berglund -- will sign autographs at the OEM's display at 6 p.m. Friday, and at 11 a.m., 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday.
Victory will participate in demo rides at the Long Beach IMS from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. All Victory models will be available in the demo fleet, the company said.
