“The suspension others said was impossible” is how BRP is describing the new rMotion rear suspension for 2012 Ski-Doo MX Z X and MX Z X-RS sleds. The company has recorded a video (below) explaining how the suspension offers more capability, comfort and adjustability. Another video records the reactions from experts and dealers who've tested it out.
BRP describes the rear suspension as a “totally rising-rate motion ratio skidframe that fits neatly inside the tunnel, for no trade-offs.” It says the suspension’s optional Quick Adjust System “puts the rear shock preload and compression damping adjustments on the running boards, for fine-tuning in seconds, even with gloves on.”
BRP claims the new suspension has the most travel in the industry as well as “the broadest sweet spot” and easiest adjustment. The company will release full details on the 2012 sleds with the rMotion — and all the 2012 Ski-Doo snowmobiles — on February 22.
