JAMESTOWN, N.D. - Stutsman Harley-Davidson will host the seventh annual Polar Pig - Walk the Plank fundraiser for Jamestown Regional Medical Center’s hospice program Feb. 2 at the dealership.

The fundraiser includes a silent auction that starts at 9 a.m. and a chili cook-off organized begins at 10:30 a.m. Some time between noon and 12:30 p.m., participants will brave the cold air to walk a plank into warm water. Anyone may participate. There will be prizes for team spirit, best splash and wildest costume. The plank-walkers land in an 800-gallon tank filled with heated water.

Last year’s event brought in close to $18,000, according to Wegner. “We’ve raised $67,000 since the beginning,” Wegner told the Jamestown Sun. “Everything we make with the silent auction, the chili cook-off, all of it goes to the hospice program.”
