Wire Plus helps tame custom chopper electrical gremlins

WINFIELD, Kan. - Although the days of the production custom V-twin are long gone, many of those bikes are still out on the road — or at least in garages across the country. For those now troubled by electrical gremlins, there is a solution.

Let your customers know that Wire Plus now has a variety of power modules and wiring harnesses for these “custom” bikes.

Each kit comes with the company’s switch control module and power module configured to work with the ground input switches used on the factory bikes. The product is reportedly compact and waterproof, and feature a small harness. The lighting control module controls signals, and provides load equalization and auto canceling. It can also operate the rear turn signals as brake and running lights.

The company says that the harnesses are designed for bikes with and without stock or aftermarket ignitions, and electric or kick start. The device can be used with or without turn signals. The harnesses reportedly can be used to completely rewire any manufacturer’s bike, including older Harley-Davidsons.
