WAUSAU, Wis. – The city is expecting about 2,000 riders to roll in this weekend for the first Wisconsin state HOG rally in 12 years. Harley-Davidson of Wausau is the host dealership.
More than 1,600 people have already signed up for the rally, coordinator Tom Osowski told the Wausau Daily Herald. Combined with several hundred more anticipated on-site registrations, about 2,000 people are expected.
Wausau beat out Appleton, Fond du Lac and Two Rivers to hold this year's rally.
"It's a heck of a process, planning the thing, but once we hear the music and see all the bikes and everyone there, it'll be worth it," Osowski said.
