Women's MX Series Begins This Month

The first round of the AMA/WMA Women's National Motocross Championship takes place May 31 to June 1 in Sacramento, Calif. (see full schedule below). All six rounds are held on the same weekend as the AMA Toyota Motocross Championships presented by FMF.

The girls will be battling it out at two new venues: Freestone Raceway in Wortham, Texas, and MX 338 in Southwick, Mass. With these additions, the series now offers two races each for the West Coast, the Central states and the East Coast.

"As participation by women in motocross continues to grow, we welcome the opportunity to race in front of fans in Texas and Massachusetts," says Miki Keller, the president of the Women's Motocross Association.
