WPS Sales Meeting: Fly Racing 2011 gear includes midlevel Kinetic lines for men and women

Sales reps gathered this week for Western Power Sports’ annual sales meeting are getting a firsthand look at the 2011 Fly Racing race wear. The Evolution, Kinetic, F16 and Patrol lines are now posted on the Fly Racing website. Click here to view a video of Andrew Short and other racers describing the gear. We take a closer look at the midlevel Kinetic gear shown here.

It may be midlevel, but Kinetic race wear is worn by many of the brand’s pro riders. The jersey’s tagless collar is constructed of TPR, Lycra and stretch-rib materials. Other features include mesh panels, sublimated graphics, shorty cuffs with elastic sleeves to reduce arm pump, and a long, angle-cut tail to keep the jersey tucked in.

The Kinetic glove features “four-way stretch multidirectional construction.” A single-layer Clarino palm is reinforced in the right areas. The glove has a split-knuckle design, silicone finger grippers, an adjustable Velcro wrist closure, and Lycra finger gussets.

The 840-denier Kinetic pant has leather knees, stretch panels, leather heat shield panels on the inside of each leg, ergonomically shaped knees that can accommodate knee braces and guards, low-profile stretch cuffs with a removable elastic band, a pocket inside the waistband, two-snap waist closure, an adjustable waist belt, strategically placed stretch-rib panels, a mesh liner, and sublimated graphics.

The gear comes in yellow/blue, blue/silver, red/gray, green/white, white/gold, black/gray, orange/gray, and Flash yellow/purple.

Adult jersey sizes are S–2XL, plus 3XL in black/gray only. Youth jersey sizes are S-XL. Adult jersey sizes retail for $29.95, youth ones for $27.95.

Glove sizes are 01-13 in black/white and 03-013 in all other colors. Adult sizes retail for $26.95, youth ones (1-6) for $24.95.

Pant sizes are 18-42, plus 28 short in all colors and size 44 in black/gray only. Adult sizes retail for $89.95, youth ones (18-26) for $79.95.

Fly Racing’s Kinetic Girl’s gear has all the same features as the men’s Kinetic line but with a female fit. The jersey has shorter arms, a tapered waist and a flared base. The pant has shorter legs and a lower waist, and is tailored in all the right spots.

The jersey comes in gray/white/purple in sizes XS-2XL or in black/turquoise/pink in sizes XS-XL. Youth sizes S-L are available in both colors. Adult sizes retail for $29.95, youth ones for $27.95.

The glove comes in the same colors in adult and youth sizes XS-L, retailing for $26.95 and $24.95, respectively.

The pant comes in gray/white/purple only in adult sizes 0/2-11/12 ($89.95) and youth sizes 20-24 ($79.95).

Fly Racing also offers a Girl’s Kinetic Boot-Cut pant. Adjustable, zippered lower leg cuffs allow for a comfortable fit over most boots. Large zippered vents are in the front and back of the pant. Large, external belt loops are for added waist adjustment, or for carrying extra cargo. There are three zipped pockets and one internal one. The pant comes in grey/white/purple (adult sizes 0/2-17/18) or black/turquoise/pink (adult sizes 0/2-13/14). Adult sizes retail for $89.95, youth sizes 20-24 for $79.95.
