BOISE, IDAHO - New to the annual Western Power Sports annual sales meeting, Freedom Performance exhaust took the opportunity to show off its extensive lineup of cruiser pipes for both the metric and V-twin markets.
While the company has has been with WPS for about a year now, the Gardena, Calif.-based manufacturer has an expanded lineup of American-made exhausts, built from U.S. steel. The vendor is part of Western's move to bolster its V-twin offering. This year the distributor released a separate V-twin catalog.
During one of the rotating product presentations, Freedom's Junior Arteaga (see photo) showed reps a set of the 4-in. racing true dual pipes for Yamaha's Roadliner and Stratoliner. The exhaust features the company's 5-step performance system, a one-piece heavy-duty heat shield and stepped performance baffles. "These are the hot sellers for Yamaha," Arteaga said.
The company also builds a set of sharp curve radius pipes for cruisers from Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Victory Motorcycles, and Yamaha. All feature Freedom's stepped header design and one-piece, full length leg shield. For modern Indian Chiefs, there are three different diameter size models of true duals.
Over on the V-twin side, Arteaga said Freedom is focusing pretty heavily on the booming bagger market, which gets two different true dual system — each with a stepped design and one-piece heat shield.
One of the bikes on display at Freedom's booth in Boise's Century Link arena featured its Sharktail true dual system. This bikes sported pipes with a classic, long design built with the performance-enhancing stepped design and featuring one-piece 32-in. heat shields.
