BOISE, IDAHO - Even in this sour economy, sales of steel rear sprockets have gone through the roof, according to Vortex Racing's Kipp McGowan.
As such, Vortex has a huge line of fitments for a wide selection of motorcycles, the company's vice president of operations told Dealernews. The manufacturer of racing components was attending Western Power Sports' annual sales meeting for the first time since joining the distributor's lineup of vendors.
The cap features coarse threads for quick closure without cross-threading and usp to 55 percent lighter than stock keyed fuel caps. It can also be customized to match the bike by changing out the colored safety lock switches. The switch helps prevent the cap from accidentally opening or loosening due to vibration or contact.
The 3D-maching process used to cut the aluminum leaves a aesthetically pleasing pattern in the cap, McGowan noted.
Also new to the Vortex lineup is the V3 frame slider that comes complete with a molded puck, base, bolts and puck cap. The aluminum bases are black anodized and all bolts are zinc plated.
