Vocational school chain WyoTech today announced its eighth WyoTech campus in Long Beach, California.
WyoTech is the Official Technical School of the NHRA and a sponsor of NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle racer Steve Johnson. Its programs include the fields of automotive, diesel, collision refinishing, motorcycle, aviation and marine technology. In addition, the company offers advanced training programs in applied service management, advanced automotive diagnostics, street rod and custom fabrication, motorsports chassis fabrication and high-performance power trains, and trim and upholstery technology.
Members of the Long Beach and Torrance chambers of commerce as well as representatives from the Los Angeles Unified School District and several area employers attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the campus.
A public Grand Opening is planned for Aug. 4 and will include a car show with celebrities from automotive television programs, special displays and a career expo with representatives from area employers.
