WyoTech has a new campus in Daytona, Fla., 35 years after opening its first facility there as a single-building classroom-shop.
Located just down the road from Bruce Rossmeyer's Destination Daytona retail haven in Ormond Beach, the technical school's new campus offers 12 classrooms and 100,000 sq. ft. of shop space.
WyoTech operates eight campuses across the country — in Daytona; Blairsville, Penn.; Boston, Mass.; Laramie, Wyo.; Fremont, Calif.; Long Beach, Calif.; Oakland, Calif.; and Sacramento, Calif.
Most WyoTech diploma programs can be completed in less than a year and a half. WyoTech prepares students for the post-graduation working world by teaching on a workday, not a school day schedule, and most students attend classes eight hours a day, five days a week.
Students enrolled in WyoTech's Motorcycle Technology program take eight core courses, and then have the option to choose to concentrate in studying Asian motorcycles, European motorcycles or Harley-Davidson bikes.
Core courses pertain to suspension systems, brake systems, four-stroke engines, two-stroke engines, the fundamentals of electricity, electrical systems, fuel systems and service.
Graduates are employed nationwide as technicians in dealerships, specialty shops and performance shops, and also serve as motorcycle assembly specialists, customer service representatives and even parts representatives.
WyoTech also offers students career services, and keeps an employer database of over 40,000 companies. Interested in being listed in WyoTech's employer database, visit wyotechalumni.com/employers
