WASHINGTON, D.C. - Yamaha is recalling certain 2011 XC50A Vino Classic scooters to replace the front and rear brake shoes. About 320 vehicles are affected, according to NHTSA.

The scooters were manufactured from April through August 2011. "Due to improper adhesion, the brake shoe linings may separate from the front and rear brake shoes," the recall noted. If the linings separate, brake performance could be impacted.

The recall is expected to begin in early October. Yamaha will notify owners. Dealers are asked to replace the front and rear brake shoes free of charge.
