KEMP, Texas – Larson Electronics LLC has introduced an LED light bar that produces 20,640 lumens while just drawing 240 watts.
The light bar is made with extreme conditions in mind, but it also can be used in both warehouse and event lighting, as well as installed on vehicles, boats and heavy equipment, according to the company. It is designed to be comparable to HID light fixtures, but without any of the high heat or fragile construction that can make HID lighting less than reliable, the company said.
The light bar (Part No. LEDP10W-240E) is fully waterproof. Unlike metal halide and other HID lamps, the company continued, it does not require a “warm-up” period and can reach its full light output with just a flip of the switch. There also is no need for a cool-down period.
The light bar is made of extruded aluminum and a polycarbonate lens. There are 24 CREE XLamp MC-E10-watt LED lights that can be configured for spotlight or flood-beam-style lighting, and can produce a beam that reaches more than 1,400 ft. in length. There also are drivers that can allow users to connect light dimmers and pulse controllers.
