LA PALMA, Calif. - Progressive Suspension has taken its top-shelf 970 Series damper and engineered a remote reservoir to offer a solution for Harley's bigger touring machines.
The 970 Series for 1993-2013 H-D Baggers features high-pressure, gas-charged dampers incorporating deflective disc valving and packaged in hard-anodized aluminum bodies designed to reduce friction and increase performance.
Progressive rate springs are regulated via threaded pre-load adjusters, "allowing for the ultimate in fine tuning and personalized ride quality," according to the company.
They're the "newest of the new and easily the highest performance shock we've ever built for the bagger," said company spokesman David Zemla.
Remote reservoirs mount in front of the bags (see image, courtesy Progressive Suspension) and allow for additional tuning via easily accessed compression adjustment knobs.
They're available in 12", 13" and standard or heavy-duty spring rates to suit the desired ride height and weight.
