SANTA CRUZ, Calif. – Bell Helmets has announced that its Mag-9 helmet has been upgraded to accommodate the Sena SMH10 stereo Bluetooth system. The news was announced at the Progressive International Motorcycle Shows tour stop this past weekend in Long Beach, Calif.
The company says that the Mag-9 Sena is the first helmet to integrate a docking system for the SMH10 system. Users can easily remove the helmet’s dock cover and insert and attach the SMH10 system without compromising on helmet fit, the company continues.
“Our Santa Cruz design/engineering team spent countless hours studying the market and potential Bluetooth partners before developing this new design that provides an unmatched riding experience in both terms of both sound and comfort,” said Chris Sackett, business unit director for Bell Powersports. “Unlike many communication systems, there is no cutting, drilling or tearing apart of your helmet, and riders who already have the Sena SMH10 can simply transfer it to the Mag-9 Sena.”
The helmet itself can be worn with or without the shield and visor. The Mag-9 Sena is Dot certified, and comes in sizes XS to 2XL. MSRP is $179.95. The Sena single system is $209.95, while the dual system is priced at $379.95.
