Renegade Harley-Davidson strives to provide a pleasant and positive environment which encourages our employees to be highly productive and to grow personally and professionally.
We pledge to exceed our customers' expectations with personal attention, service and product knowledge through continuous improvement and customer interaction.
We seek to instill in our customers, future customers and diverse community, the value of being part of a distinguished and evolving motorcycle culture.
Showroom Design and Layout
Renegade is split into two levels. Walking through the front doors leads you into MotorClothes, the heart of Renegade. Our MotorClothes girls are all smiles as they welcome our guests and show off the latest clothing and gear. Everything from leather to helmets is available in all styles and sizes.
The second floor is the "candy store." Over 100 new Harley-Davidson motorcycles are on the floor at any given time. Every model and color a customer could want is available. Probably the most noticable difference is our relaxed, no-pressure atmosphere. Sales staff is helpful without being pushy. They offer to go on test rides for the love of the ride as much as the sale. Customers are greeted as old friends (most of them are).
Our floor model is set up to take our guests through the entire show room before leaving. They tour the different riding groups as they walk. Softails, touring, CVOs, hard candy customs. It's impossible not to smile at the beauty of them.
You smell the Renegade Service Department before you reach it. Fresh popcorn greets every guest as they walk through the door. Our Service Writers are quick to greet, listen and prescribe.
The department is a beehive of activity. Guests, bikes, Service Writers and Techs move in and out as the customers are taken care of as efficiently as possible.
Twelve Technicians reside behind a set of double doors. You hear their work before you see it. The rumble of the motors and hissing of air hoses greets you before the techs do. Few look up as they are engrossed in their work. Focused on the problems in front of them, they are the science of the well-oiled machine.
Training and Employee Motivation Practices
As our mission statement states, Renegade encourages our employees to to grow personally and professionally.
- We provide ongoing training to every department.
- Sales development for MotorClothes, Parts & Accessories and Sales.
- Current technical certifications for the Service Department. Marketing benefits from Harley-Davidson Marketing webinars, graphics training and more.
- Anyone who wants to grow may do so. We also encourage our staff to attend college.
- Even our owner, Kate attends college business courses.
Our employees are our family. Renegade takes care of our family. Free lunches every Saturday enable our staff to eat when it's too busy to leave the building. Bonuses are a regular occurrence. Most are based on productivity and obtained by constantly improving. Holidays are always fun, as it's white envelope time! No matter if an employee has been with us a month or 20 years, everyone receives a little extra something. Employees love the acknowledgment.
Commitment to Customer Service
Renegade's Customer Service philosophy is simple: Treat the customer as we'd want to be treated and do the right thing. By giving the customer THE best Harley-Davidson experience they could ever have, we develop lifelong raving fans. We may not always be the lowest-priced or closest dealer, but our customers see the services we provide as a huge value. We go the extra mile so our customers don't have to.
Involvement in the Community
Renegade Harley-Davidson is immersed in a small town with old-fashioned values. Neighbors help one another. We wholeheartedly believe in doing good within the community, and Renegade accomplishes that in many ways.
Our community involvement starts with Motorcycle Safety. Our Riders Edge program proudly puts over 400 newly educated riders on the street every year. They are taught the safety and mechanics of how to ride. Students are coached by extremely qualified licensed instructors who teach each student at their own pace. Students graduate to the roads knowing how to ride confidently and safely. This protects them and those around them.
Renegade is also passionate about our Community Cook-Out Program. Every Saturday, the dealership hosts a lunch for anyone and everyone. The lunch is free. Many dates are sponsored by organizations such as the Muscular Dystrophy Association, various Motorcycle clubs (benefiting local individuals or families), American Red Cross, church groups, youth softball teams, schools and more! The different groups are encouraged to sell drinks, host raffles or create rides to help boost their fundraising and quickly become community efforts. We have had groups raise as little as $200 and as much as $12,000 within a few hours. That money benefits the community directly.
Renegade Harley-Davidson is also mindful about using our global branding to help local events. We sponsor events that put us in the community spotlight to gain exposure while also benefiting the community. Our staff loves to get involve and help choose the events they are passionate about. One of our favorites is the Alexandria Museum Dragon Boat Races. We also sponsor Threads Cancer Survivors Fashion Show, the Pecan Festival, various schools, toy runs, the Children's Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and we are a proud founding sponsor of the Cenla Nun Run benefiting Cabrini Hospital Pediatric Center.
To date, our largest sponsorship is the Fort Polk Joint Readiness Program. We are proud to sponsor our military in any fashion but attend their on post events, concerts and functions as a full sponsor. We also offer a program for our overseas military customers, which enables them to shop for their bike and customize it to their specifications while serving. We have met more than one soldier at the airport with their new purchase upon arriving home. We also offer military discounts and special military financing. We are honored to do it.
Renegade takes community involvement very serious. We strive to always lead by example and try to be pillars within our community -- even when it means paying out of our pocket to do so.
We donated a motorcycle for the Hope House women's shelter. They raffled the motorcycle and were able to raise over $15,000.
It's just good business.
