The Bud's Harley-Davidson Susan G. Komen breast cancer Pink Ribbon Run 2012.
Annually, Bud's hosts the largest benefit run in southern Indiana. On Sept. 16, 2012, we held the annual event. On a rainy Sunday morning with temperatures in the mid 60s, when we opened registration for our 2012 Pink Ribbon Run, we had no idea of the impact the weather would make. Proudly, our faithful customers started to arrive. First a few, them more, and before it was over we had over 700 bikes with over 750 riders out on a scenic southern Indiana ride in the rain. Indiana ABATE served BBQ Boston butt (supplied by Bud's) and they rode from the dealership on a 80-mile ride that ended at the Evansville National Guard Armory. Each year we print and sell limited-edition T-shirts the carry our special event logo, "Bud's for Boobs" proudly on the back. We pre-sale these and ship them all over the country via our website and dealership email newsletter. Riders had opportunity to win many prizes!
Enjoy great fellowship, and raise money for Susan G. Komen. We are proud to say we raised over $12,000 and had the 700 bikes in the rain for 2012. Watch out for us to be over 1,000-strong in 2013.
